Want to design your next piece of jewelry?
Here at Broer-Freeman Jewelers, WE LOVE CUSTOM JEWELRY and we try and make it as easy as possible for you! It all starts with an idea...but don't worry if you don't have one, we have plenty. We can use your old jewelry you're not wearing or start with all new.
STEP 1. IDEAS AND SKETCHES
The first step is to come in (or e-mail, phone call, or text) and talk about what you are interested in. Once we figure that out we will get an estimate to make your one of a kind piece. Don't worry, consultations and estimates are always free! We will also sketch out your idea to make sure we are all on the same page design wise. Or if you have a photo you've seen online that you like, show us and we can skip the design process and go right to the estimate!
STEP 2. THE CAD
Once we lock down the design we will then create a CAD image (computer-aided design) so you can see your idea in a more detailed fashion. Changes can always been made at this stage so we can get it exactly right. However, not all custom projects require a CAD image. We have a very talented jeweler who hand carves waxes right from our sketches.
STEP 3. THE WAX!
The wax stage is probably my favorite (besides the finished piece, of course!) because you can see your piece in real life and hold it. And the best part is, we can still make any adjustments needed to make this the most perfect piece for you! The size and shape of the wax will represent exactly what the piece will look like when it's finished. We can even set diamonds and gemstones in the wax to give you an even better idea of what it will look like when it's finished. Once you are satisfied with the wax we cannot make anymore changes because it's time to cast and set stones...the best part!
STEP 4. FINISHED!
The next time your see your piece it will be finished! There are no surprises or unknowns in our custom process. We want you to be involved as much as you want so we can make it perfect for you! At Broer-Freeman Jewelers, we all love helping people create the perfect piece of jewelry. We have a wonderful selection of jewelry in store but understand when you want something completely your own and we welcome it!

Typically, our custom process takes anywhere from two to four weeks but it all depends on what we are making. We will let you know all of that information up front during the initial consultation so you know exactly what to expect. If you are thinking of having that special piece made, we would love to help!
